Senior Supervisor - Overhead Transmission Line Works (Kolda, Senegal)
Start: February Assignment length: Through May 2026, with the possibility of continuing depending on performance and project needs Languages: Fluent English and French
Ideal Background
Strong preference for candidates with an engineering education.
At least a decade of hands‑on experience in major infrastructure or transmission line projects.
Confident working autonomously, with a proven track record of managing technical challenges on site.
Previous involvement in OHTL construction, including interfaces with substation switchgear.
Solid understanding of safety rules, quality expectations, and technical compliance for large‑scale works.
Valid H0vB0 and SST certifications (or equivalent). If not already held, these must be completed at the beginning of the assignment.
Role Overview
The specialist will support Voltalia during the construction and commissioning of the overhead line. Reporting to the Site Manager, the role includes:
Overseeing civil engineering activities, tower assembly, conductor installation, and switchgear integration.
Ensuring all work aligns with the technical standards, HSE rules, and quality benchmarks defined during design.
Working closely with both the Site Manager and Deputy Project Manager to coordinate daily operations.
Tracking progress, identifying risks or deviations, and proposing corrective actions.
Managing interfaces between the OHTL team and substation teams to ensure smooth execution.
Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring adherence to schedule.
On‑Site Conditions
Location: Based near Kolda, approximately a 20‑minute drive from the work area.
Transport: A shared company vehicle will be available.
Accommodation: Provided by the service supplier.
Start date: February.
