Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Transmission & Distribution

Overview
We are currently supporting a major infrastructure programme within the Scottish power and utilities market and are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of large-scale Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects across Scotland.

This role sits within a long-term framework delivering critical national energy infrastructure and requires a commercially strong SQS with proven NEC experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full post-contract commercial management of T&D and power infrastructure works
  • Administration and management of NEC contracts, including compensation events and change control
  • Cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting (CVRs)
  • Subcontract procurement, account management, valuations and final accounts
  • Managing variations, claims and commercial negotiations
  • Working closely with project, engineering and client teams to ensure commercial compliance

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level on power, utilities or major infrastructure projects
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Experience on transmission, distribution, substations or similar heavy infrastructure schemes highly desirable
  • Robust post-contract commercial background
  • Ability to operate autonomously within complex, framework-led environments

This is a hands-on role covering system configuration, testing, and on-site commissioning.The role suits an engineer who enjoys working on live systems, dealing directly with customers, and seeing projects through from design to final commissioning.
