Assistant Site Manager

A leading international renewable energy service provider is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a 45MW ground-mounted solar farm project in Tiverton, Devon. Working 10-hour days, you will assist the Site Manager in overseeing daily construction activities, supervising civil, mechanical and electrical subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. Responsibilities include supporting HSE, coordinating plant and materials, and maintaining accurate site documentation. Previous supervisory or assistant site management experience within construction is required; solar farm experience is most desirable, although strong civil, electrical or building backgrounds will be considered. This is a 12-month contract, likely to run for 15-18 months, operating outside IR35. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for daily site operations, driving programme delivery, managing multi-disciplinary civil, mechanical and electrical subcontractors, and ensuring high HSE and quality standards onsite. Solar farm experience is preferable; however, candidates with strong civil, electrical infrastructure or general construction backgrounds will also be considered. This is a site-based role working 10-hour days, Monday to Friday, with the site also open on Saturdays (8am-1pm), with a full day paid.
