Our client is looking for a Project Engineer to monitor subcontractors work standards during the Balance of Plant works on a large scale BESS Facility near Chemnitz, Germany.

The Ideal candidate would have extensive experience in the Power sector with specific understanding of Civil works, EPC Site experience and HV connections. German Language skills are required as well as english speaking proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee EPC and subcontractor works to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and VDE/DIN standards.

  • Monitor site progress, quality, and HSE performance; maintain daily reports and issue NCRs where required.

  • Coordinate interfaces between civil, electrical, battery OEM, PCS, and grid connection teams.

  • Support commissioning, FAT/SAT witnessing, energisation, and performance testing.

  • Review technical documents, method statements, and as-built drawings.

  • Manage site communication with EPC, OEMs, grid operator, and client project manager.

  • Identify risks, delays, and variations; support contractual compliance and handover documentation.

This is a site based role beginning in February and going through until energisation for the right candidate.
