Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and committed individual to support our client in the field of non-destructive material testing (NDT) in the service of rotating equipment, particularly in the areas of digitalization, especially in connection with the SAP migration and related documentation, as well as in proposal preparation.

The main focus is on supporting the SAP migration and related documentation to help integrate the new system and its use into the teams. Furthermore, after an initial training period, the person should support the proposal preparation process, using the insights gained to help simplify or digitalize processes and the IT tools or interfaces involved. This may also involve acting as a liaison between engineers/technicians and IT.

In addition, support is required in the preparation of proposals for upcoming service activities in the areas of steam turbines, gas turbines, and generators. Tasks include compiling and pricing the necessary tools and consumables based on the defined scope, as well as determining the required workforce based on the specifications provided by our preparation team.

The advertised position is based in Mülheim an der Ruhr.

SAP Migration / Digitalization (approx. 70%):

Supporting the planned SAP migration and documenting relevant features with a focus on NDT and our processes

Assisting in projects aimed at digitalizing various work steps, such as:

  • Report generation
  • Work planning
  • Evaluation of findings
  • Supporting the preparation and implementation of digitalization projects within the above-mentioned framework

Proposal Preparation (approx. 30%):

  • Creating proposals in SAP based on specifications from project coordination or, later on, in coordination with them
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment (GT/GN/ST) is desirable
  • Knowledge of NDT is an advantage

Skills / Requirements:

  • Completed technical degree or technical training
  • Ideally 2-3 years of professional experience with rotating equipment or NDT, but motivated graduates are also welcome
  • Affinity for or additional training in programming or IT topics
  • Good German and English language skills
  • Interest in developing digital solutions for various workflows
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent command of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Planner, Teams, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate (desirable)
  • Experience/knowledge in Microsoft Power Apps (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is an advantage
  • Programming skills are desirable
  • Team player
