An industry‑leading offshore engineering consultancy is expanding its Naval Architecture team and they're looking for a bold, forward‑thinking Senior Naval Architect ready to help shape the next generation of floating wind and marine energy projects.
What You'll Do
- Lead hydrodynamic modelling and analysis of cutting‑edge floating systems.
- Drive the design of offshore structures including FOWTs, tidal platforms, and novel floating concepts.
- Contribute to strategy, technology selection, and early‑stage concept definition for major floating wind developments.
- Support the company's innovation roadmap and help keep the team at the forefront of industry advances.
- Build strong relationships with clients and help secure new project opportunities.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting their chartership journeys.
- Deliver creative engineering solutions that push boundaries and challenge convention.
We're seeking a driven and technically accomplished individual with:
- Master's degree in Naval Architecture or Offshore Engineering.
- 8+ years' professional experience in naval architecture or offshore structural analysis.
- Strong technical capability in hydrodynamics, mooring analysis, structural assessments, and vessel/structure behaviour.
- Working knowledge of modelling and analysis software (e.g., AQWA, OrcaFlex).
- Chartered status, or working towards chartership (RINA, IMechE, etc.).
- Full UK working rights
- Happy to work with the team in office 70% of the time
