ERSG is seeking a dedicated and motivated Electrical Field Engineer to support a major wind farm project in New York. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a large-scale renewable energy initiative, working alongside a professional team on the installation, monitoring, and quality assurance of the underground electrical collection system and medium-voltage infrastructure.
This position requires a strong electrical background, an eagerness to learn, and a commitment to collaboration. The ideal candidate will be on-site full-time and will split their time between office-based responsibilities and field oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the installation and commissioning of underground electrical collection systems and medium-voltage (MV) cables.
Perform field inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, electrical codes, and quality standards.
Monitor and report on project progress, including scheduling, budgeting, and change order tracking.
Assist with quality control, including documentation, issue resolution, and coordination with contractors and vendors.
Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to ensure seamless execution.
Maintain safety standards and contribute to a culture of safe work practices across the site.
Requirements:
Field Engineer or Quality Control experience in construction, utilities, or renewable energy.
Strong understanding of electrical systems (preferably medium voltage).
Previous experience working on wind farms or in renewable energy (required).
Reliable, personable, eager to learn, and a strong communicator.
Must have own vehicle for daily travel to site; a site truck will be available during work hours.
Comfortable working in a primarily on-site role (80% on-site office, 20% in the field).
Perks & Compensation:
$40-$45/hour + OverTime
Expense reimbursement up to $500 after 30 days
