Planning Engineer

Purpose of the Position

As a Planning Engineer, you will report to the Planning Manager and support the Offshore Wind business line. You will play a key role in ensuring the development, monitoring, and control of the project schedule, particularly during tendering phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the project schedule in line with contractual requirements and internal standards, ensuring feasibility and identifying risks or criticalities.
  • Implement and maintain the planning and progress control system.
  • Monitor and analyse deviations from the plan, proposing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Promote schedule awareness across all project stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain the 90-day look-ahead schedule, weekly schedule, and monthly schedule.
  • Support the Project Control Manager with the preparation of Project Status Reports.
  • Provide time impact analysis for contract amendments and claims.
  • Participate in risk management activities, including schedule risk analysis.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5-10 years in planning activities within the offshore Oil & Gas industry; experience in offshore wind projects preferred.
  • Education: HNC, HND, or bachelor's degree.
  • Technical Skills: Strong background in planning tendering project phases, T&I, and ideally EPCI projects.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Must reside in the UK with full, permanent right-to-work status (no sponsorship available).
