The RoleYou will be responsible for the electrical installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV and battery storage systems on residential properties. Works will be carried out on occupied homes, requiring a professional and customer-focused approach.Scope of Works IncludesInstallation of on-roof and in-roof (inline) solar PV systemsInstallation and commissioning of domestic battery storage systemsAC and DC wiring, inverter installation, and system setupConsumer unit upgrades (where required)Fans and Doors under cutsTesting, inspection, and certification of completed worksKey ResponsibilitiesCarrying out solar PV and battery electrical installations to a high standardEnsuring compliance with BS 7671, MCS, and relevant regulationsCompleting electrical testing, commissioning, and certificationWorking safely and in line with site RAMS and H&S requirementsLiaising professionally with Site Managers, project coordinators supervisors, and residentsAccurately completing installation paperwork and handover documentationRequired ExperienceQualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)18th Edition (BS 7671)BPEC Solar and Battery/EAL/LCLExperience with Inverter and battery storage systemsECS / CSCS cardExperience working in occupied residential propertiesMCS experience or familiarity with MCS standardsExperience working on retrofit or energy efficiency programmesInspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)ersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants.
