RC Detailer / AutoCAD Detailer

Location: Remote (some office time will be required)
Contract Duration: Until late March 2027

Project Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced RC Detailer / AutoCAD Detailer to support a reinforced concrete design and detailing package.

The successful contractor will be responsible for producing accurate General Arrangement (GA) drawings and stub details in AutoCAD, working from the relevant engineering/design information.

The role would suit an experienced RC Detailer with a strong background in reinforced concrete, foundations and substructure detailing, particularly those with experience working on pile caps and associated foundation details.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce 2D General Arrangement (GA) drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Produce detailed stub details and associated reinforced concrete detailing.
  • Design/detail 34 pile cap types.
  • Design/detail 34 rock anchor types.
  • Design/detail 14 pad and column types.
  • Interpret structural engineering drawings, sketches, calculations and design information.
  • Ensure drawings accurately reflect the engineering design and are suitable for procurement/construction purposes.
  • Coordinate dimensions, reinforcement, interfaces and connection details across the various foundation types.
  • Incorporate design changes and comments into drawings.
  • Maintain a high level of drawing accuracy and consistency across the package.
  • Work closely with the engineering/design team to resolve detailing queries and ensure drawings are delivered to programme.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience as an RC Detailer, Reinforced Concrete Detailer or Structural CAD Technician.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills, particularly 2D detailing.
  • Previous experience producing GA drawings and construction/detail drawings.
  • Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction and detailing principles.
  • Experience with foundations, pile caps, pads and columns.
  • Experience with rock anchors / anchoring details would be highly beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and design information accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience on civil engineering, infrastructure, tunnelling, foundations or heavy civils projects.
  • Experience producing details for large or complex reinforced concrete foundations.
  • Familiarity with reinforcement detailing standards and construction requirements.
  • Experience working directly from structural engineer's design information.
