About the Role:

We are seeking a senior-level MEP Manager to lead the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing scope of major tunnelling infrastructure project in Oslo. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive local tunnelling experience, capable of integrating design, procurement, construction, and client interface management under the highest standards of quality and safety.

The MEP Manager will act as representative for all MEP matters, ensuring seamless coordination between disciplines, stakeholders, and the client throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and coordinate with the Design Team to ensure constructability, technical compliance, and optimized MEP solutions.
  • Lead and manage the site MEP construction team, ensuring works are executed according to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Act as the company's representative in interface meetings, coordinating across disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Maintain direct communication and professional dialogue with the Client and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Norwegian regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Oversee MEP installation activities in tunnel environments, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies during both design and construction stages.
  • Support the Procurement Department by identifying, evaluating, and proposing competitive subcontractor and supplier offers.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Contribute to cost control, reporting, and project documentation.
  • Promote a strong safety culture aligned with HSE policies and Norwegian construction regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP management within civil infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in tunnelling projects in Norway.
  • Strong knowledge of Norwegian construction regulations and tunnel-specific MEP systems.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading interface coordination meetings.
  • Client-facing experience with strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting procurement processes and evaluating technical/commercial proposals.
  • High standards in Quality Assurance (QA/QC) and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).
  • Ability to work in complex project environments.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

Consents & Environment Manager Description: To work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team to deliver Nationally significant electricity infrastructure projects. Environmental or Planning related degree with experience in a relevant industry (e.g., infrastructure, environmental / planning/ statutory body/ consultancy dealing with major consenting projects).
