Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Stakeholder / Landowner Manager to support an offshore grid connection project.

The successful candidate will form part of the Owner and Stakeholder Management Team, taking responsibility for managing relationships with landowners, tenants, agricultural businesses and other affected stakeholders throughout the construction and close-out phases.

This is a highly stakeholder-facing position requiring strong communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills, together with previous experience on major infrastructure, transmission, pipeline or energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior point of contact between the client, landowners, tenants and other external stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular communication with affected landowners and agricultural businesses throughout construction.
  • Conduct site visits, landowner meetings and stakeholder coordination meetings.
  • Manage objections, complaints, access restrictions and other stakeholder issues arising during construction.
  • Negotiate practical solutions between landowners, contractors and the project team.
  • Coordinate with construction management, site supervision, environmental consultants, technical specialists and contractors.
  • Attend regular project, construction and stakeholder meetings.
  • Support the management of crop damage, land damage and compensation matters.
  • Oversee land handovers and reinstatement activities from a stakeholder perspective.
  • Ensure stakeholder commitments, outstanding actions and agreements are appropriately documented and followed through.
  • Support the transition and takeover of the existing stakeholder management activities at the beginning of the assignment.
  • Provide regular status reporting to the wider project team.

Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience in stakeholder, landowner or community management on major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong preference for experience within electricity transmission, utilities, pipelines, offshore/onshore grid connections, renewables or linear infrastructure.
  • Demonstrable experience dealing directly with private landowners, tenants and agricultural businesses.
  • Strong negotiation, mediation and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience managing sensitive land access and construction-related stakeholder issues.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary construction and engineering teams.
  • Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience with GIS, SharePoint or similar project information systems would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with land rights management systems such as LaRA-Scoup would be beneficial.
  • High willingness to undertake regular site visits throughout the route corridor.
  • Fluent German and English are essential.
