We are urgently looking for a full-time Health & Safety Coordinator (H&S Coordinator) to be incorporated immediately into a solar project in Andalusia. Our client has decided to replace the current coordinator, so we require a rapid mobilisation of the candidate.
Scope of the works:
- PSF (36.4 MWp/MWn) and access roads
- PSF (36.4 MWp/MWn) and access roads
- SET 0/220 kV and access roads
- 220 kV Private Overhead Line (LAAT) of 16 km
- SET 220 kV (private QEE substation)
Service requirements:
- 100% of dedication and physical presence at site (Monday to Friday)
- Experienced person in H&S coordinator role (minimum 5-10 years), with specific knowledge of Andalusian H&S regulations and legal requirements
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Convene initial and regular meetings with contractors and subcontractors to plan activities and coordinate tasks
- Ensure all contractors and subcontractors are properly registered in the REA (Registro de Empresas Acreditadas) as per Ley 32/2006 and RD 1.109/07
- Request and control the subcontractor books for each contractor
- Supervise and control the contractor's Health & Safety Plan and perform regular site inspections
- Monitor the fulfilment of preventive measures and annotate any incidents or non-compliance in the Incidents Log Book (Libro de Incidencias), following up corrective actions
- Report any serious or imminent risks within 24 hours to the Labour Inspectorate and the Project Management Team
- Ensure contractors carry out proper preventive training and information to their workers, especially before the execution of critical tasks
- Manage document control and verification of all legal and safety documents from contractors and subcontractors
- Attend any inspections by the Labour Inspectorate or local Health & Safety authorities and provide support during audits and inspections
- Maintain a close and proactive communication with the Client regarding all H&S matters
