We're currently supporting a well-established engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Civil Technician to join their growing civil infrastructure team.

This is a senior technical role with real responsibility, offering the chance to lead civil design delivery across a range of complex projects while mentoring junior staff and working closely with engineers and project managers.

The Role

As a Senior Civil Technician, you'll take a lead role in the production and coordination of detailed civil engineering designs, primarily using Autodesk Civil 3D. Projects typically include site development, roads, drainage, stormwater management, and water & sewer utilities, including pressurised systems for mission-critical facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and produce high-quality civil designs and drawings in Civil 3D

  • Develop 3D models, grading designs, and earthworks calculations

  • Coordinate closely with engineers to deliver plans, profiles, and sections

  • Carry out design QA/QC and ensure compliance with standards and regulations

  • Manage drawing packages, revisions, and project documentation

  • Review volume calculations for excavation and site grading

  • Mentor and support junior technicians

  • Contribute to project delivery within agreed scope, budget, and programme

About You

  • Degree / HND / foundation degree in drafting or a related discipline

  • 7+ years' experience in civil engineering design

  • Advanced Civil 3D experience (Navisworks, MS Office essential; Revit, MicroStation or GIS beneficial)

  • Strong understanding of civil design principles, calculations, and standards

  • Confident working in a multi-disciplinary project environment

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting safe execution of all site activities.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day HSE support to site management and subcontractors during installation and fit-out works.Ensure compliance with local Danish HSE legislation, project requirements, and company standards.Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks; identify hazards and implement corrective actions.Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting.Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to HSE procedures.Maintain accurate HSE documentation, records, and reports.Support emergency preparedness and response planning.Promote continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance across the project.RequirementsProven experience as an HSE Advisor on construction or data centre projects (installation/fit-out experience preferred).Strong knowledge of EU/Danish HSE regulations and standards.Relevant HSE qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent).Experience working with multiple subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to influence and promote a proactive safety culture on site.Fluent in English (Danish language skills are advantageous but not essential).DesirablePrevious experience on large-scale data centre or mission-critical projects.Membership of a recognised professional HSE body.First Aid / Fire Marshal training.Working ConditionsSite-based role in Fredericia.Standard construction working hours with flexibility as required by project demands.ersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants.
