ERSG is supporting a leading civil engineering contractor in the search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the South West. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of commercial performance across high-profile highways projects while working within an established and growing organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading all commercial activities across project packages.
  • Managing subcontract procurement, valuation, and final accounts.
  • Driving change management, cost control, and commercial reporting.
  • Identifying risks and opportunities to maximise project performance.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project teams.

  • Only available to Candiadates with UK working rights
  • Proven Quantity Surveying experience within highways, infrastructure, or civil engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Project Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities: Lead HV construction delivery, coordinating site teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant and on-programme execution to approved designs and specifications.Act as the technical link between design and construction, managing scopes of work, technical queries, drawings, design changes and submittals while capturing lessons learned and coordinating technical interfaces with clients, DNO's and other key stakeholders.Manage electrical subcontractors, ensuring compliance with programme, quality, safety and contractual requirements.Drive QA/QC activities, overseeing ITPs, quality inspections, observations, installation verification, commissioning support and project handover documentation.Coordinate FATs, material approvals, procurement activities and project meetings, resolving technical issues, mitigating risks and maintaining programme.Conduct site inspections to monitor safety, quality, productivity and compliance with company procedures, client requirements and industry standards.Provide technical leadership, mentor site teams, maintain project records and reports, and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and project delivery. Substation Commissioning Engineer

ersg are searching for a Substation Commissioning Engineer to join a major contractor in the Irish Power, Transmission & Distribution sectors. This role requires someone with experience in commissioning ESB substations, and you will be working across multiple projects across Ireland.The successful candidate will be responsible for;Verifying all primary and secondary substation plant/equipment is suitable for a Declaration of Fitness.Conduct all on-site HV commissioning tests on related plant.Verify communications systems (SCADA, RTU, automation systems) are operational.Lead commissioning on protection and control equipment.Review and ensure comprehensive documentation of all test records.Develop and nurture the update of commissioning procedures and standards.You will have demonstrable experience in the commissioning of ESB HV substations. Qualifications will include a degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, ideally Power Engineering.
