Senior Maritime Civil Engineer - Ports

Location: Glasgow, Belfast, Edinburgh or Newcastle

We are seeking a Senior Maritime Civil Engineer to join an Energy, Water and Resources team in the North. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the transformation of ports and coastal infrastructure as critical enablers of the clean energy transition-including offshore wind and hydrogen development.

You'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team delivering high-profile, technically challenging projects across the maritime, ports and harbours sector. Our work spans the full project lifecycle, from advisory and early masterplanning through to detailed design and construction.

What You'll Do

• Lead and deliver a wide range of civil/maritime engineering designs and projects

• Manage design activities, from feasibility to construction support

• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders including port authorities, developers, and contractors

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the team

• Ensure the highest standards of technical quality, safety, and sustainability

What We're Looking For

• BEng, MEng, or MSc in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

• Chartered Engineer status (or working toward it)

• Demonstrated experience in port, harbour, or coastal engineering

• Knowledge of Eurocodes and BS6349

• Experience with industry-recognised design tools (e.g., Civil 3D, Revit)

• Strong communication and project management skills
