Role Overview

We are seeking experienced and motivated Civil Engineer of all levels to join our client's railway infrastructure team. You will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and delivery of rail civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee construction and maintenance of railway infrastructure, including:
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and support project delivery from conception to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards and UK health & safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and liaise with contractors and stakeholders.

Lineside Civils

  • Signalling location case bases.
  • Signal post telephone bases and walkways.
  • Cable management systems.
  • Trough, duct and conduit.
  • Efficient, flexible, innovative service.
  • Kiosk and REB bases.
  • Signal posts, gantry bases and installation.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline or relevant experience.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience in railway engineering projects in the UK.
  • Strong understanding of relevant standards (e.g., NR/L2/CIV/003).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work on-site and travel as required.

Construction Manager required for a Large Renewable Energy Mechanical subcontractor to construct a x2 Solar Farms in Burguillos, Spain. Suitable candidates will have at least 2 years construction experience working on utility-scale solar projects. Ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical background. Good knowledge of the mechanical components on a solar project is essential. Candidates will have experience managing mechanical subcontractors and/or teams. The Construction Manager will report directly to the Project Manager. Initial 6 Month contract available with more work to follow. Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the EU.
