Senior / Principal Civil Engineer (Residential Projects) Location: Hybrid - Leeds / HomeOutisde IR35Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior / Principal Civil Engineer to lead in the design and delivery of infrastructure for residential projects across the UK. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the technical, aspects of civil engineering within housing developments, ensuring innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions that meet client, regulatory, and industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical DeliveryLead design and coordination of highways, drainage, utilities, and site infrastructure.Ensure compliance with UK planning policy, Building Regulations, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), Sewers for Adoption (SfA), and local authority standards.Apply advanced knowledge of software (e.g., Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, PDS) to guide project delivery.RequirementsEssentialMinimum 10+ years civil engineering experience with a focus on UK residential development.Proven track record in leading design and delivery of housing schemes.Strong understanding of UK planning system, Section 38/104/106 agreements, and NHBC standards.Chartered Engineer (CEng) with ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers) or equivalentDesirableChartered Engineer (CEng) with ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers) or equivalentExperience in Design & Build contracts and working with major housebuilders.Knowledge of BIM processes and digital design delivery.Experience in sustainability frameworks (e.g., BREEAM Communities, net-zero infrastructure design).Business development and work-winning experience.ersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants. ersg is searching for a PV/Solar Commissioning Manager on behalf of multinational Solar EPC client. Our client, boasts an extensive pipeline of utility-scale Solar projects that require commissioning across Europe. Successful candidates will be responsible for commissioning projects above 50MW each project.This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Three years or more of commissioning large utility-scale (>50MW) solar projects. Ideally, experience of working across multiple European countries, and demonstrable understanding of working to FIDIC frameworks.Applicants should be used to managing people, and multiple projects concurrently.
