Bringing Offshore Wind to the US!
ersg are delighted to have been selected to exclusively manage the supply of 30 direct hires for Ocean Winds in North America. Being awarded with two seabed leases in the U.S, one for an offshore wind project in the New York Bight auction (Bluepoint Wind) and another one for a floating offshore wind project in California (Golden State Wind), 2022 was a strategic year for OW. ERSG will accompany OW to identify the best talents to help successfully deliver these clean energy projects, that are key for the energy transition of the country.
Having worked with Ocean Winds since 2019, this award adds another layer to our partnership, having already provided over 60+ hires across their projects in the US, UK, and Spain, including Mayflower Wind (now called SouthCoast Wind), as well as Moray East and West.
About Ocean Winds
Ocean Winds is the result of a 2019 joint venture by EDP Renewables (EDPR) and ENGIE. Both companies share the vision in which renewables, particularly offshore wind, play a key role in the global energy transition.
EDPR and ENGIE are combining their offshore wind assets and project pipeline under OW, beginning with 1.5 GW under construction and 4.0 GW under development, with the target of reaching 5-7GW of projects in operation or construction and 5-10 GW under advanced development by 2025.
Ocean Winds is an established developer of offshore wind projects present in 7 countries worldwide and is bringing to bear that experience, as well as the skills, background and knowledge gained through the work of its sponsor companies in onshore wind and solar to develop offshore wind projects in the United States.
