ersg are working with a major investor/developer of Utility-Scale BESS projects across the UK to recruit a Construction Manager.As Construction Manager, you will oversee the delivery of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover. Core responsibilities include; Lead day-to-day onsite construction activities for BESS projects.Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.Ensure compliance with HSE policies, site safety requirements, and environmental regulations.Monitor project schedules, milestones, and construction progress.Coordinate civil, electrical, mechanical, and commissioning activities.Conduct site meetings, toolbox talks, inspections, and progress reporting.Identify and mitigate construction risks and resolve field issues promptly.Ensure quality assurance and quality control procedures are implemented.Track project costs, variations, and change orders.Support project commissioning, testing, and final handover documentation.This role will see you working client-side, so presenting to key stakeholders such as investors is a critical skill. Electrical Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to support the delivery of a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major renewable energy infrastructure scheme and play a key role in the successful installation and energisation of grid-scale energy systems. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day electrical installation activities on site, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesThe Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for supervising LV and HV electrical installation activities across the BESS project while managing subcontractors, electrical teams, and specialist suppliers on site. The role will involve ensuring all works are completed in accordance with HSEQ standards, project specifications, and programme requirements. You will review and implement RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work while coordinating daily site activities with project management and commissioning teams. The role will also include supporting QA/QC inspections, snagging, and handover documentation, monitoring progress against programme milestones, and assisting during energisation and commissioning phases.RequirementsCandidates should have previous experience working as an Electrical Supervisor on renewable energy, BESS, solar, HV, or substation projects with a strong understanding of LV and HV electrical systems. Applicants should hold SSSTS or SMSTS certification alongside a valid ECS or CSCS card. Strong subcontractor management and site coordination experience is essential, along with a proactive approach to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. BESS Engineer

ersg are working with a leading investor in Renewable Energy assets to hire a BESS-focused Engineer. This role will see the successful candidate join a market-leader to ensure the delivery of their growing BESS portfolio.Key responsibilities include;Being the lead person on technical developments in the Battery industry - supporting internal and external stakholders with technical comprehension of BESS.Identification and selection of BESS, PCS and EMS providers.Support colleagues through acquisition, JVs and project development stages from a technical perspective.Ensure FAT/SATs are completed.Ensuring delivery of projects in accordance with grid compliance.Candidates should have a strong background within BESS (upwards of three years), additionally any training with inverter manufacturers are a bonus. It is critical that candidates have experience of managing contractors such as EPCs.This position is a hybrid-role, based in the client's offices for four days per week.
