ERSG is supporting a leading international marine engineering consultancy in the search for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Gdynia, Poland.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced marine electrical professional to take a leading role in the delivery of vessel engineering projects, technical consultancy services, and shipyard support activities across a diverse range of offshore and maritime sectors. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with project leadership responsibilities, mentoring junior engineers while acting as a key technical interface with clients and shipyards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver marine electrical engineering projects.
- Manage and support project teams of up to five engineers.
- Produce electrical installation documentation including:
- Single-line diagrams
- Block diagrams
- Detailed termination drawings
- Develop material schedules and equipment specifications.
- Select electrical equipment in line with project and client requirements.
- Support vessel modifications, upgrades, and new-build projects.
- Supervise shipyard construction activities and vessel delivery phases.
- Provide technical consultancy across a range of marine electrical engineering challenges.
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
- Contribute to technical reviews, quality assurance activities, and proposal preparation.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years' experience in marine electrical engineering and design.
- Strong understanding of vessel electrical systems and ship installations.
- Experience working to classification society standards such as:
- DNV
- Lloyd's Register (LR)
- Bureau Veritas (BV)
- Proven experience producing electrical design documentation.
- Ability to lead small engineering teams while remaining technically hands-on.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel for shipyard supervision and project support.
- Fluent English and Polish language skills.
- Degree qualified (MEng, MSc, BEng or equivalent engineering qualification).
- Full working rights for Poland are essential.
