Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Management

* Identify new leads within your industry vertical via cold calling, networking and market mapping

* Pitch ERSG's staffing services to hiring managers/decision makers

* Negotiate commercial terms of business, including permanent fees and contract margins (depending on your vertical)

* Manage client accounts

* Attend industry events and conferences

* Grow and manage a team of delivery consultants, account managers and 360 consultants

Candidate Sourcing & Delivery

* Headhunt niche talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, our internal database and referrals

* Screen candidates to assess their technical ability and compliance

* Manage the interview lifecycle including prepping candidates, scheduling interviews and delivering feedback

* Negotiate job offers and manage any counteroffer scenarios to secure successful placements

* Build talent pools within your specific vertical

About you:

* Experience in a recruitment or sales/business development role is desirable

* A proven history of billing successfully against KPI's

* Tenacious and resilient, not phased by setbacks and comfortable in high pressure situations

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Proven fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus

* Proficient in Microsoft office

* Outgoing and friendly personality

Principal Design Engineer

Principal Design EngineerRole PurposeProvides strategic technical leadership for permanent and, or temporary works design and engineering solutions and governance.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and guide engineering principles on structural calculations and drawings.Develop permanent and temporary works solutions for shafts, retaining walls, slabs, foundations, and reinforced concrete structures.Coordinate with geotechnical, construction, and temporary works teams.Support constructability reviews and value engineering exercises.Work in accordance with BIM Level 2 / ISO 19650 standards for information management and collaborative delivery.Comply with CDM 2015 regulations, company HSEQ procedures, and promote a positive safety culture across all activities.Support NEC4 contract administration, early warning processes, Program reviews, and change management activities.Prepare technical specifications, design reports, and assurance documentation.Review and approve design calculations and multidisciplinary deliverables.Provide mentoring and technical support to junior engineers.Act as discipline lead during bids, technical governance reviews, and client engagements.Technical RequirementsProficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural analysis software.Experience with reinforced concrete and steel design to Eurocodes.Knowledge of tunnelling interfaces including shafts, sprayed concrete linings, and underground structures.Understanding of buildability and construction methodologies.Experience using Tekla, Revit, or Robot Structural Analysis is advantageous.Experience managing design risk and design assurance processes.Experience leading major design frameworks and multidisciplinary teams.Experience & QualificationsDegree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.10+ years experience within infrastructure, structural, temporary works or tunnelling design.Understanding of Eurocodes, BS standards, and UK infrastructure requirements.Working towards or holding Chartered status with ICE or IStructE depending on level.Demonstrable leadership delivering complex UK infrastructure schemes. ersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants.
