Business Analyst - Cyber Security

To perform, analyse, improve and automate, wherever possible, a set of business-as-usual cyber security processes to reduce team overhead.

Skills / Experience
* Excellent analysis and knowledge transfer skills to a proven professional level
* Experience in using Microsoft's Power Automate tools to automate business processes, with minimal human overhead.
* Able to take ownership of problems and requests as well as the ability to work in a pressurised environment
* Excellent time management skills; able to effectively plans own time
* Able to visualise and articulate proposed solutions to business problems provided by Security Culture Team
* A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise own workload within demanding schedules
* Strong written and verbal skills
* Good facilitation skills; enables people to reach agreement and develop work practices
* A systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving
* Ability to create and author process and procedure documentation

Key Accountabilities
* Works with business colleagues to scope and clarify requirements, and plan implementation through the development process
* Marshals and documents requirements for the subsequent identification of an appropriate solution and the detailed design of a business process to accommodate it
* Plans, prioritises, manages and executes analysis work on multiple simple or individual complex processes in order to regularly achieve cost and timescale targets
* Works with the business to understand and prioritise conflicting needs
* Contributes to the execution of user system testing and to the test plan for live delivery
* Undertakes personal responsibility for IT data security by ensuring that rules and practices are identified
* Identifies and determines end-to-end business processes using standard methods
* Presents business and technical concepts to process owners and business users through documented procedures
* Identifies and assesses business and IT risk
* Carries out in depth scoping exercises during the early stages of a work package to identify key issues of concern and to ascertain clear direction

Experience
* Experience from a similar support or development role in supporting business critical systems in a medium/large organisation
* Demonstrates a comprehensive breadth and depth of knowledge and experience
* Clear understanding of the gas and electricity industry dataflows, metering standards and regulations
* An understanding of cyber business risk and how to mitigate potential cyber threats
* Experience in using Microsoft's Power Automate tools to automate business processes, resulting in minimal human process overhead.
