A regional offshore wind developer is seeking a Project Engineer to support the development and pre-construction phases of offshore wind farms in Japan, with a primary focus on electrical design. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating technical designs, coordinating with external parties, and ensuring project timelines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the electrical design and scope of OW farm projects.
  • Prepare scopes of work (SoW) and requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Coordinate with external parties during the pre-FEED process.
  • Manage pre-FEED schedules and monitor progress effectively.
  • Facilitate technical meetings internally and externally.
  • Create technical documentation and presentations.
  • Review applications for auction bids.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Possess a bachelors degree (MSc/BSc) in electrical engineering.
  • Hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in roles related to an electrical engineering scope.
  • Strong analytical abilities for technical evaluations and research.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in project management and coordination.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and proficiency in managing project timelines effectively.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Previous experience in project management or coordination positions.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience with offshore wind farm development projects.
  • Proficiency in Japanese.
