Solution Architect - 1727
Remote (ad hoc travel may be required)
This role is for a solution architect to work on a range of strategic initiatives to improve data and information management in our clients Renewables and Thermal businesses. The remit will include:
Translating the Renewables Information Management Strategy into an architectural roadmap of solutions for delivery. This will focus on bringing together a wide range of information sources such as SharePoint repositories, EDMS solutions, ARC GIS, Asset Management systems and third party document systems into an linked and accessible information eco system. The solutions must provide access to integrate with desktop and mobile solutions (potentially developed on Microsoft Power Platform) for field workers, including on wearable devices. Another key deliverable will be a design for bulk data storage of survey data.
There is a separate requirement to develop an architecture solution for a Data Platform to collate structured data from systems across the Thermal business, to support insights and analytics. This is expected to use the Azure platform and to introduce a range of Azure's data services over time as it evolves. This will be accompanied with planning for the roll out of a range of analytical and reporting tools.
Specific experience required:
Data architectures implemented on Azure
Information Management systems, specifically SharePoint, but ideally other EDMS solutions
Information architecture, ideally in an asset based business
Microsoft Power Platform - Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automated
Experience of working in an agile delivery methodology
Strong stakeholder management
Architecture principles and frameworks such as TOGAF
Knowledge of the UK Energy industry would be an advantage
