Offshore construction is an environment where things move quickly and environmental oversight has to keep pace. IOVTEC's operations in Taiwan spanned multiple subcontractors, marine teams and a construction workforce spread across a dynamic offshore environment and keeping environmental requirements consistently met across all of those interfaces was not straightforward.

The Solution

When incidents occurred, the team was positioned to respond quickly. Part of their role was ensuring that site events were identified, reported and escalated in a timely way, which required being present and integrated into the daily flow of offshore activity, not separate from it.
Maintaining accurate project records was a running responsibility throughout. The Environmental Engineers tracked site events, kept compliance documentation up to date and ensured that records were maintained to the standard required for both internal audit and external regulatory purposes.
