Data Centre Build

The Site Manager is responsible for the delivery of assigned sections of large-scale projects.Working closely with the Project Manager and Site Management team, the Section Manager ensures that works are delivered safely, to the highest quality standards, on programme and within budget.This role has a strong focus on health & safety leadership, quality control, subcontractor coordination, and the effective sequencing of works to support the overall construction programme.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of designated sections of the project, ensuring works are delivered in line with project specifications, programme milestones and Walls Construction standards.Lead and enforce all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) requirements, ensuring full compliance with company procedures and local regulatory standards.Manage and coordinate subcontractors, forepersons and direct labour to achieve production targets and programme objectives.Plan and oversee site setup activities within assigned sections, including logistics, access, security, deliveries and traffic management.Work closely with the Project Manager to support programme delivery, including the effective sequencing of trades to maximise quality and minimise rework.Monitor and manage resources including labour, plant, materials and site overheads within your section.Ensure quality inspections, snagging and handover activities are completed to the required data centre standards.Maintain clear communication with the wider site team to ensure smooth interfaces between sections and trades.Support a positive site culture, maintaining strong employee and subcontractor relations.RequirementsMinimum 7+ years' experience in a site management role.Experience across commercial, industrial, residential, fit-out or refurbishment projects; data centre experience is highly advantageous.Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, quality management and HSEQ systems.Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multiple work fronts in a fast-paced environment.Willingness and flexibility to work on European-based projects as required.Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.Rewards & BenefitsA competitive and attractive rewards package, including car allowance, pension scheme, professional subscription support, and additional benefits.Opportunities for increased responsibility, continued professional development, and long-term career progression within the organisation.ersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants. Responsibilities:To maintain close working relationship with the business teams to provide active assistance and advise to ensure the effective implementation of the Group Safety Management System.To participate in the appointment of competent persons to undertake key safety roles and work closely with managers and trainers to ensure their training needs are identified and provided.To ensure risk assessment processes and systems are established for ensuring production, approval, communication, implementation and monitoringTo monitor for effectiveness, the procedures for the management of lifting operations, temporary works, inductions, fire and emergencies, permits and other bespoke procedures required for the safety execution of the works.To participate in setting up and maintaining safety committees.To ensure risks to third parties / other contractors are understood and actioned.To contribute ideas to the team for the continued developed of the Group wide Safety Management System.To maintain an up to date knowledge of all health and safety matters relevant to the works and liaise with appropriate safety managers, safety organisations and trade associations.To ensure that accident and incident investigation is properly carried out to identify both immediate and underlying causes, actions to prevent recurrence and a robust defence of claims.To provide reports on health & safety performance to the relevant managers.Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within the construction industry community.Maintain professional and close working relationship with directors, operation managers, project managers and project management teams.Promote Group health and safety abilities to staff and customers.Qualifications:Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.4+ years construction experience.Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and practices.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.Rewards & BenefitsA competitive and attractive rewards package, including car allowance, pension scheme, professional subscription support, and additional benefits.Opportunities for increased responsibility, continued professional development, and long-term career progression within the organisation.ersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants.
