Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor - Offshore WindLocation: Hull or Hartlepool (Hybrid Site-Based) Contract: Long-Term Freelance Assignment Sector: Offshore Wind / RenewablesWe are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major offshore wind project, focusing on the Wind Turbine Package. This is a long-term contract opportunity for a commercially driven professional with strong claims, quantum, and cost management expertise.Key Responsibilities:Manage and support upstream and downstream claims.Develop and substantiate Extension of Time (EOT) and compensation event submissions.Prepare detailed quantum assessments and cost analysis.Track project events, commercial risks, and associated cost impacts.Maintain accurate cost records, forecasts, and commercial reporting.Work closely with project, construction, and commercial teams to support contractual and commercial objectives.Ensure robust project records are maintained to support entitlement and claims positions.Requirements:Proven Senior QS experience on major infrastructure, energy, renewables, or construction projects.Strong background in claims management, EOTs, and quantum analysis.Excellent commercial reporting and cost management skills.Ability to build and present robust commercial cases backed by detailed evidence.Experience within offshore wind, EPC/EPCI, marine, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.Strong understanding of standard forms of contract, ideally including FIDIC.This is an excellent opportunity to join a flagship renewable energy project and play a key role in the commercial management of a major offshore wind package.ersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants.
