The Role:

Wind Turbine Technicians play a hands-on role in maintaining and repairing onshore and offshore turbines to maximise uptime. Day-to-day, the role can include everything from inspecting and maintaining offshore turbines, to troubleshooting electrical or mechanical faults, to working on performance upgrades. 
 
With half a million new wind technician roles expected by 2028, these hands-on positions are essential to support turbine installation, maintenance, and uptime in expanding offshore fleets. 
 

Skills and Training: 

The role requires technical proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems, GWO Basic Safety Training (First Aid, Fire Awareness, and Working at Heights), and strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
